| Hi, I'm Scott Reid the Used Car Manager here at Racette Ford of Oshkosh. I wanted to share with you a little bit about what it's like to buy a pre-owned car or truck from Racette Ford.
First I do everything in my power to make sure that the vehicle that your buying has come from a good back ground. I run a CARFAX on every vehicle that I put on the lot to make sure that there are no hidden problems before we even start our comprehensive inspection process.
Then if the vehicle passes the background check it has to go through a fifty point comprehensive vehicle inspection including: the cooling system, drive train, electrical system, engine, fluids, gauges and warning devices, repaired damage, brakes, bumpers, emission equipment, exhaust system, frame or structural system, fuel system, restraining devices, steering components, suspension, tires and much more.
After the vehicle that your looking at has passed this comprehensive inspection it has to go through a forty point Appearance Quality Standards inspection in the following areas: engine compartment, trunk or cargo area, plus fifteen points in the interior and eighteen on the exterior.
Finally all this information is put together and in two simple forms and kept with the vehicle for your inspection.
